On Mar. 1, 2018, the Bahamian Ambassador to China Mr. Robert Quant and the Counselor Ms. Julie Campbell visited Future Science Park. Principals from Changping Foreign Affairs and Overseas Chinese Affairs office, Future Science Park Administrative Committee, Future Science Park Industry Development Co., Ltd, Chen Qingquan Academician C.C. Chan International Science and Technology Innovation Center accompanied the delegation.
The delegation firstly visited the Future Science Park Exhibition hall to learn more about the planning and development of the core area of Future Science Park. Afterwards, they visited the CNOOC, Beijing Low Carbon Clean Energy Research Institute and Chen Qingquan Academician C.C. Chan International Science and Technology Innovation Center.
Robert Quant the Ambassador expressed that China’s “Belt and Road” Initiative has been extended to the Bahamas. The Bahamas and China have jointly signed a visa exemption agreement to promote exchanges and cooperation in tourism, economy, trade and other fields. Chinese companies have carried out investment cooperation in various fields in Bahamas and thus the Bahamas hope to base on Academician C.C. Chan International Science and Technology Innovation Center and sustainably keep focusing on the cooperation between both parties on energy technology, financial science and technology, tourism culture, and personnel training so as to promote the further development of the friendly relations between our two countries.
